Service Technician (m/f), Porirua in Porirua, Wellington

Your tasks:
- Install dock seals, bumpers, or shelters
- Fabricate replacements for worn or broken parts, using welders, lathes, drill presses, or shaping or milling machines
- Install door frames, rails, steel rolling curtains, electronic-eye mechanisms, or electric door openers and closers, usingpower tools, hand tools, and electronic test equipment
- Cut door stops or angle irons to fit openings
- Operate lifts, winches, or chain falls to move heavy curtain doors
Your skills:
- Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
- Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
- Determining how money will be spent to get the work done, and accounting for these expenditures
- Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences
- Controlling operations of equipment or systems
- Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes
- Talking to others to convey information effectively
- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it
- Installing equipment, machines, wiring, orprograms to meet specifications
- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
